Exactly two years ago, our most awaited blessing came to us: a healthy baby girl. How time flies! My little girl is now two years old. I can still remember the experience I had when I gave birth to her…makes me wish not to have another baby anymore..LOL!
I can proudly say that for the past two years, I had the best motherhood experience anyone can have, although I had a little problem with my pregnancy, and Iya’s hospitalization when she was 10 days old. After that, everything went so easy. She never got sick again except for some minor colds and coughs. I never had problems with breastfeeding; only problem is weaning because until now she’s still getting her “muk” from me. She eats a lot and loves apples and bananas. She is very active and loves to run around and climb onto things. She loves to jump and push our dining chairs and arrange them again. She is so talkative although you can’t really figure out what she is saying. She loves to sing along with Dora and even learned to count in Spanish! She says “Ho! Ho! Ho!” when she sees Santa Claus. She has already mastered ABC, shapes, colors, and counting – now she even counts with her fingers. Oh and she also counts things and can say simple sentences like “a red ball” or “three bananas”. I’m so proud to have raised such a cute and smart 2 year-old.
I thank God for all these. For giving my husband a nice-paying job so we can afford the one-income household. Because of this I was able to take care of our daughter 24 hours, 7 days a week. Oh well, I don’t have a career, I don’t have the social life but I have my family and friends so I’m always surrounded with all the love and support and happiness I need. Of course I also experience some emotional downtime but at the end of the day, it’s my family, my husband and my cute little daughter who will always be there to give me me hugs and kisses that I need. My lifetime happiness!
Enough said. I love you daddy Jhay and Happy Birthday my darling baby girl Julia. May you grow up to be a smart and loving kid. Mama and Daddy loves you so much!
